Ice Cream Soda is a pattern by Tales of Cloth by Jodi Godfrey ! loved the pattern. When I looked at the quilt with all it's fussy cut pieces an idea popped into my head. Make this quilt ALL ABOUT ME, things I really like. So there are blocks with owls, fall, Dodgers, Halloween, Christmas, tea, knitting, sewing, shoes, teaching and chocolates! Was hand stitched and took 2 years!
This December, I created two English Paper Piecing projects to use as table toppers. It only took a small amount of my Christmas fabric stash. I'm so pleased with the results.
The embroidery added so much to the topper. I was fortunate to find the red check for the binding. Helps to save small amounts for binding.
This topper is located in my sewing room on the bookcase. The triangles have "fussy cutting" or Precise Cutting as designer named it. Here again the embroidery really accents the EPP! I do believe I'm hooked on adding details with stitching to all my projects. Adds Bling!
Now onto Spring projects: bunnies, flowers, eggs etc.
